The Beginning

Astro Kongs was formed in December of 2021 with the vision to build a recognizable web3 gaming brand. Fostered around a strong community in the RKL ecosystem, the founding team of AK was slowly pieced together with like-minded visionaries about the potential of web3 metaverse gaming, and the power of executing brand building at a high level.

The Community

A strong community is the key to unlocking the potential of the Web3 space. While building the AK brand we believe an engaged community needs to be at center focus. AK aims to be a unique space in the RKL ecosystem where like minded individuals will have access to a unique network of people, and professionals to collaborate and generate meaningful relationships. Our community will set our culture.

Phase 3

The Future

Our primary goal is to be among the most competitive clubs in RKL, AK is playing to win. In addition to being competitive, we also want to set the standard for how clubs operate in the RKL ecosystem. This is a new league and as important as the founders of RKL are, the community around them is perhaps more important. We are that community. You are that community. Together we will help set the standard and build something much greater than a single club.

Can I invest in Astro Kongs or a team?

We have the necessary financing to acquire the club when the drop comes around, but we do see value in having a broader ownership group who can help us build the pre-eminent club. We are still working through how that might work and can’t make any promises at this point, but if you have interest we would love to hear from you!

Are the Astro Kongs a top level team?

We want to be among the most competitive clubs in RKL, so if you join AK you are joining a team that is playing to win.

In addition to being competitive, we also want to set the standard for how clubs operate in the RKL ecosystem. Together (should you join AK), we will help set the standard and build something much greater than a single club.

For a point of reference: No matter how good Adam Silver does his job for the NBA, if the owners of the teams and the players do not invest in the game or the community, the NBA will fail. The same applies here.

What sets Astro Kongs apart from other premiere clubs?

Mike Fogg is on his own planet when it comes to creative. As you can see from our (his) early brand work, he is a cheat code. When you join AK, you will be getting some of the best creative available anywhere in the world.

There will be shared economics. We are not sure yet how this will work, but that is an important piece of being part of any community. Just like the players in the NBA get paid a portion of all basketball-related revenue, so will the Kongs that play on the the AK team. And just like the local community benefits when their NBA team makes a deep playoff run (local bars & restaurants get increased business, hotels have higher occupancy, etc.) so too should the AK community benefit from our success.

We are not going to make any promises other than we are going to be thinking critically about how to best share in the upside that this community can create. We are still in the early stages of this journey and don’t want to get ahead of ourselves, but this is an important piece of the puzzle that we want to get right.
